IGP Gibraltar – Gibraltar Kennel Club

IGP Gibraltar is a branch of the Gibraltar Kennel Club. The Gibraltar Kennel Club is a full member of the FCI. The Fédération Cynologique Internationale is the International Canine Federation. It includes 98 members and contract partners that each issue their own pedigrees and train their own judges. IGP Gibraltar is a branch of the Gibraltar Kennel Club that deals exclusively with IGP activities under the umbrella of the Gibraltar Kennel Club.

IGP is short for Internationale Gebrauchshund Pruefung, which is a challenging three-partsport consisting of (tracking, obedience and protection). It originated in Germany at the beginning of this century as a breed test for the German Shepherd. Since, it has grown in to a popular sport, as well as continuing to function as a breed test for many reputable German Shepherd breeders and other working dog breeds.
